On Thursday the 22nd of June, nine very privileged pupils attended an English trip to Harry Potter World in Watford. The trip was focussed upon character creation, story settings and explored the incredible behind the scenes secrets of exactly how the incredible films were made.
The tour allowed pupils to visit places such as Diagon Alley, Pivot Drive, Hogwarts and The Forbidden Forrest. Pupils also had various opportunities to see exactly how green screen works in film as different attractions placed them directly into certain scenes from the film – much to their amazement! The attraction is incredibly well run and they kindly provided each child with a free downloadable image of them flying on a broomstick over Hogwarts. We also had the extra treat of stopping off for a burger on the way home.
Although it was a long day for the children it really was a memorable day for all involved and their behaviour was impeccable throughout. Thanks must also go to Mrs Leivers and Mrs Pidcock who provided fantastic help in ensuring the trip was a success.
