The Keyboard Pupils start to understand notes on the piano and basic major chords create their own tunes. Pupils start to develop their understanding of notes to play simple pieces via sight-reading. Pupils start to sight-read notes in the left hand and start to focus on other major scales. Pupils start to play simple tunes with both hands and to work on songs they listen to at home. Pupils to develop sight-reading skills and to be able to recognise all their major scales. Pupils to work on their favourite piece of music and perform it to the class, or to have it recorded.
