Religious Education is taught in all Key Stages in line with the Derbyshire agreed syllabus 2014-2019.

In Key Stage 1 and 2 pupils will begin to look at the key features of a range of religions as well as religious stories and festivals.

In Key Stage 3 pupils will study Christianity, Sikhism, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism, and Buddhism.

In Key Stage 4 pupils undertake RE AIMVOC units including Diversity in Society, Valuing Equality and Diversity and Religion and Society.

Pupils are also encouraged to develop their thinking skills in order to form their own thoughts, opinions and ideas about the world around them which is important to develop their sense of self
