School Council Notes 9th February 2017.
All students that attended School Council on Monday 9th February 2017 came with a variety of ideas that initiated from the school council agenda.
Each student representative presented their ideas they had produced within their form to the School Council. Then a short discussion was had on the most important elements and how we as a school will move forward.

How do you keep safe?Keep away from bad people and evil text messages. Beware of trolls. Watch out for people who tell you to do things you shouldn’t. Tell an adult if you ever feel unsafe. I feel safe at SSSC.

How do you keep safe?Don’t talk to strangers on the internet because they may be horrible, or they may not be your age or who they say they are. Only go on things you are allowed, otherwise you might see inappropriate information, videos or sites. Always tell an adult if you think you are being cyber bullied or trolled!

These things are very important to our class as they keep you safe and we have been leanring about keeping safe in PSHE.

How do you keep safe?Online safety and keeping safe is very important to learn about in school. You need to know about keeping safe. I feel safe at SSSC. On the internet you can’t trust other people, you don’t know who they are. To keep safe we don’t ever give out personal details. Don’t talk to people you don’t know.
Year 10 (KJ) :-Reward Trip Ideas:-· Gaming museum in Nottingham· Out for Lunch· Cinema Charity for Epraise:-· P.D.S.A (People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals)· Homeless Charity· RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution) 5 best things about SSSC:-· The teachers get me· We go to awesome places· Less bullying than anywhere else· Amazing dinners· We love our uniform, is quite cool and really comfortable. How do you keep safe?If you don’t know what you are doing you could be in danger. You could get hacked and your bank account drained. You could get hurt or even die if you speak to the wrong people and go meet them and your parents don’t know. Keeping safe is very important. A.O.BCould we have a quiet day in the common room? It can be very noisy and it is too cold to go outside.

You must be responsible and think about what you are looking at and what you are uploading. Do not give out any personal details and be aware of cyber bullying.

If you are unsure of how to keep safe do not friend anyone who is a stranger. You can block people and also try pressing mute whilst gaming. I feel safe at SSSC and know a grown up is always looking out for me.
Reward Trip:-Mrs England will type up options for Reward trip vote by Friday 13th January 2017. The trip will them be booked by Tuesday 17th January and students can enter using Epraise.
Epraise Charity:– Mrs England will create a voting form so all students can vote for preferred charity. This will be completed by Friday 13th January 2017.
Comments for Website:- Mrs England will type and upload to school website student comments from school council by Monday 17th January 2017.
All Weather equipment:- Form tutor will ask if anyone would like to be the monitor for the all weather pitch equipment.
Common Room:- This is working well, however a reminder is required about keeping noise levels down so all students can enjoy the lunch time experience.
Again, all students demonstrated extremely mature, sensible attitudes and were a pleasure to work with. Thank you to everyone who contributed. The next school council will take place on Monday 27th February 2017.
