Skills For Independence Trip

On Wednesday 9th March four pupils went to Ashfield Fire Station as part of their Skills for Independence Aim Award.

Pupils were taught how to evacuate a building if a smoke alarm/fire alarm sounds and how to exit a room/building in a safe and calm manner. The pupils were given a demonstration of what happens when the station receive a 999 call! They even had the chance to try the uniform on and use the hoses.

It was a great experience and the pupils had a great time. A huge thank you to Ashfield Fire Station.
