Key Stage 3:

At Swanwick School and Sports College the curriculum is tailored to suit each individual young person’s needs.

We have high expectations of all our young people at SSSC. All students enjoy their school lives, achieve great things and Exceed expectations both academically and vocationally.

During KS3 we follow the National Curriculum structure using a curriculum to allow each student to thrive in a safe and secure environment, enabling the students to fulfil their full potential. This is achieved through a varied and diverse curriculum designed to develop student’s knowledge and confidence.

Core lessons are streamed academically and we also offer vocational subjects where each student feels safe and secure. Cross-curricular methods are used throughout our school especially in our Foundation subjects. Art, Media, Food Technology and Drama are delivered through a thematic approach ensuring current Global issues are explored.

Students at SSSC are proud to attend our school and have a clear understanding of the opportunities available to them whether it being part of our sports teams, skiing in France or taking part in whole school productions and gymnastic/dance displays.

Our Outstanding curriculum allows opportunities for their future and helps create successful, independent, unique young people. This curriculum is regularly adapted to the needs of each child enabling them to be continually challenged.
