PE Enrichment Week

The last week of half term has been all things 'active' as the whole school has taken part in a P.E Enrichment week! Activities have included a Primary and Nurture Cricket sessions with Derbyshire county cricket and key stage 3 classes in Martial Arts with Benefit Martial Arts. Our older pupils have been taking part in sports leaders' classes either teaching or being led by others. Our Y7 class did us proud and represented the school at our first fixture of the year with Amber Valley sports partnership at a local leisure centre.  During the event Y7’s were involved in 3 different athletics activities; long jump, speed bounce and chest push. They then competed against the other secondary schools and did 3 different relay events! They were all enthusiastic and really enjoyed themselves. Well done to everyone involved, a super week enjoyed by all and level 1 qualifications completed!
