Year 9 Mexican Alebrijes

Year 9 have made their own inventive, creative Mexican Alebrijes. This is a traditional craft in parts of Mexico, where artists use their imagination to make hybrid creatures. The creatures are like spirit animals that will protect the family and are meant to have special powers. The pupils used various techniques to design their creatures, including collage and AI. They then formed their finished designs from paper mâché and decorated them with bright patterns.
