Year 10 pupils completed day one of a three week placement at Lubrizol Science and Engineering lubricant manufacturers. They are having an experience of work within the science and engineering industry due to their interests and intended future career plans. Today we were introduced to the team at Lubrizol, had a tour of the research and development facilities, had lunch with the staff and developed blends of lubricants to make the transition of a tug easier through metals. In the following weeks we will be focussing on chemical blending and industrial scale blending and sales.
