On Monday 5th October a pupil from our Primary Yellow class was awarded Belper and Duffield Rotary Clubs Young Hero Award. He was nominated by school for resilience, as he had overcome some extreme personal difficulties.  Despite all this he has continued with resilience and fortitude to progress with his education and to secure good friendships. He was awarded a certificate and trophy by former Derby County player, Jake Buxton, and even had the chance to speak with Jonathan Davies, MP for Mid Derbyshire. We are so proud of him for being so mature, facing all the challenges that come his way and embracing new experiences.
