On Monday, our year 7 pupils went to the National Stone Centre at Middleton. There, they went on fossil hunts, identifying creatures that once swam in ancient oceans over 300 million years ago! They also identified the different types of rock, investigated soil composition and even tried some panning for gemstones! Each pupil kept the gems they found! It was a wonderful day in very hot weather! Well done to all involved! Mr Waite
