Library Visit

Miss Ley’s English class were the first group to visit our local library in Alfreton. Pupil’s were extremely excited for this visit and for some it was their first ever time in a library.

Pupils arrived and were shown around the different areas of the library. They were then given lots of time to explore the vast range of books that were available. They shared some of their interests of previous books they enjoyed reading and found some books they wanted to read and share with their peers.

Pupils sat on the comfy chairs in the children’s area and looked through their chosen books independently, with friends or with an adult.

They thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience and chose a book to bring back to school with us to share in class.
