N4 Maths Qualification work – Climbing Tower at Kings Mill base

Nurture 4 children have prepared, planned and costed a visit for an outdoor learning activity as part of their OCR maths qualification work. Combined with the Life Skills focus on Outdoor Activities, children choose several locations and took a democratic vote to agree a final decision: Climbing Tower at Kings Mill Adventure Base. Using maths skills, children collected and represented data, calculated the cost of the visit and worked out the timings for the morning’s challenge. Teamwork, Bravery and Perseverance made the visit truly successful, with all children achieving their personally set goals on the climbing tower.
