Local WW1 Hero: William Gregg presentation 

Linked to the topic 'Peace and Conflict', Nurture 4 children enjoyed a thought-provoking session delivered by Robert Meed, a representative of Loscoe and Heanor Historical Society. Children learned about a local World War One Hero named William Gregg through visual aids and interesting discussions. Robert made clear links between careers and the armed forces that has also been a focus for our career learning this term. Children made excellent use of their listening skills during the presentation and identified links to our School Learning Heroes: Bravery and Teamwork.
