Ski Trip Update 1

We had a really good travel day to Samoëns. Meeting at school at 7am we were taken to Manchester Airport by Ripley Minibus Company and had a really smooth flight on EasyJet to Geneva. For some it was the first flight they had been on and were entertained by an awesome view of the snow capped Alps and Lake Geneva on our descent. We got to Samoëns at about 6pm local time and had a meal followed by a walk into town to get orientated and see the magical winter lights.

Day 2 saw us get fitted for our ski equipment and take our first trip up the Grand Massif Express to the beginner slopes at 1600m. We had a 3 hour ski lesson and our pupils really impressed with their progress. All went down the beginner slopes in control 3 or 4 time. Our most advanced skiers were able to use the jumps park which was new this year. Mrs Leivers cooked us all a Sunday dinner and we then walked to the bakery to get a desert. All pupils are safe, well and happy in their beautiful surroundings and home for the week.
